A client of mine, Elsa was going through another challenging time in her life, regarding relationship issues. She has been struggling for years waiting to meet “the one”. The Guides have been keeping telling her that in Truth all is fine and she could trust the Divine process. The Universe knows her wishes and she will meet her “one” for sure and at least one if not even more…
Unfortunately it has been years and she hasn’t met “the one” as she define it, yet.
It is true that at the level of the Guides time has a different shape and length (in Truth time doesn’t exist…) so when they say you will meet the One unfortunately it could be when you will be 90 years old !!! But for sure they would be right, you would have met him during your life time.
Last month she had an amazing encounter, when she was the least expecting it, finally onlye focusing on her work and her life. She decided to go to a different cafe to work there so to change the scenery as it could sometimes be challenging always working from home. She had some habitual places she’d go but she needed some change. There was a nice place near her home where she never went before and she decided to give it a go. She arrived there, the owner welcomed her being very friendly, she found a table she liked and started to work there. She liked the vibe there. She spent hours working, feeling very good with an “at home” feeling.
The owner was often coming to see her to check if everything was good for her. All was fine.
Later one and a few clients after a man arrived with another woman. Elsa withdrew her attention from her work for a second as they started to talk to the owner. It was a small coffee so one could hear everything. The owner knew them. As she was raising her head to look at them her eyes met the eyes of the man, and guess what, it was love at first sight. She felt a huge love, an intense energy between them and a “Deja vu” feeling, she felt familiar with him like they have known each others for years, even centuries ! It was weird and unexpected but she couldn’t deny it, something powerful just happened.
He smiled at her, talked to the woman he was with and walked towards her. Her heart started beating very fast. Approching her he introduced himself while reaching for her hand to greet her. She held out her hand to him. Another level of connection was made she thought. A familiar touch. On top of all the sensations going through her body and her heart she also deeply appreciated that he was so courageous and honest to directly walk and talk to her. He asked her if she was new in the area as he never saw her here before and he explained that he worked nearby and that the woman was his assistant. So much clarity ! He told her it was a real pleasure to meet her and he then excused himself and went back to his assistant. They ate there. Elsa tried to go back to her work but it was difficult as she was overwhelmed by what just happened. Her whole body was vibrating very high, her heart beating with joy and her thoughts going in all directions. They kept looking at each other from distance while he was eating with his assistant, directly facing her from where he was sitting.
After some time she finally succeeded in calming down and went back to work, while still trying to process mentally what had just happened…
When the man and her assistant finished eating and paid their bill it was time for them to leave. They stood up and he directly went to see her again, his assistant following. He told her he would love to see her again and asked for her number. She gave it to him. And he left. The rest of the day she was feeling very happy keeping reliving the moment and revisiting all that she saw about him. She even started to project herself with him in the future. Yes she could definitely see herself in a relationship with him. She thought it was worth all these years of waiting and of false hopes and dramas. This man was the real deal. She felt relieved. Finally ! “The one” does exist !
Days passed and even weeks.
And he never contacted her. When he took her number she didn’t ask for his, being sure to receive a message in the next hour or so. If she had had his number she would have contacted him just to check and to see if all was ok. But she couldn’t. She felt horrible and she revisted again her memory about the day they met and all that happened, trying to see it from another angle and to maybe find a clue explaining this silence ? Maybe she missed a sign that would have alerted her about how things turned out later ? But no, there was no sign, all was clear. No clue.
She did go back to the cafe a few times but she never saw him. Maybe he had a terrible accident or he was dead ?! One day she finally found the courage to talk to the owner of the coffee shop and she asked him about this man, in the most lightly and innocent way. From what she heard, he was still alive and indeed still coming to this coffee shop, not regularly but sometimes.
Her pain was overwhelming. Elsa knew she has just met him once and she didn’t know him at all but the connection was so intense like nothing she had lived those past 7 years that it made the experience very real and personal. She felt they did know each other at another level and she knew they were supposed to live something, many things together !
After her last visit to the cafe she couldn’t hold it anymore. She completely collapsed and yelled and cried at the Universe. She went to bed, it was 1pm, and spent the day in bed feeling completely lost. She started comparing herself to the other women, who had it all. A boyfriend, a husband, a family. What was wrong with her ?!!! Why was the Universe not giving her what she desired the most, a husband ? The love of her life. She sank very deep. But as unfortunately it wasn’t the first time in her life she collapsed emotionally she knew how to “come back to the surface” and how to keep some sanity in all this. She finished her hours of intense but short term depression, begging the Universe.
“ Please help me. Give me a sign !!! I feel so lonely and desperate ! Please ! Thank you”. She opened her instagram page and started to scroll randomly. She fell asleep very shortly after.
In the morning she woke up tired but with a very strong intuition to go to a ladies cafe meeting that was happening in the afternoon. She has been a member of this What’s App group for weeks but never went any of the weekly gatherings. She used all that was left of her energy and got ready, trying to look as presentable as possible, as normal as possible.
When she arrived at the meeting place she saw 2 women sitting at a table, she knew it was them from the what’s app profile pictures. She introduced herself and sat down. These two women were around her age and were really beautiful. Two different styles but one could see that they were healthy women, independent and very feminine. Hours together confirmed her first impression. The connection between them was immediate. After the coffee shop they decided to go to a museum nearby to see a fashion exhibition. After seeing many pieces of art and clothes, as they were entering another room filled with incredible fashion pictures one of the woman, Justine, stopped in the middle of the room and told them : “You know what ? I am still waiting to find “the one”. I really want to meet him and I won’t settle for less”. Immediately the second one, Maria said “me too !”. And Elsa did the same. The three of them started to laugh and it felt like a relief to Elsa. Perfect strangers yet an instantaneous affinity and a same quest. What are the odds ?
She got on especially with Maria. After the museum the two of them decided to continue the afternoon together doing some shopping. Justine left them to go back home to work. Once they started shopping it was like the tap was open and Maria couldn’t stop sharing about her past relationships and how tough it had been. She had never been married and didn’t have kids. They shared for more hours, while buying stuff and discovering new shops. Then they decided to eat something. They found a small restaurant and once they sat and ordered Maria burst into tears. She confessed to Elsa how desperate she was. She then told her : “I have to tell you something.Yesterday I begged the universe for a sign. I needed help ! I felt so lonely and abandoned. I cried all my heart for help. it was so difficult ! “. Elsa touched her shoulder to confort her and smiled. She told her “You won’t believe it but I was exactly like you yesterday and I asked exactly the same thing to the Universe. I think we are mirroring ourselves right now. I find you very beautiful at all levels, an amazing woman and there is absolutely nothing wrong with you ! On the contrary ! ”
Maria responded : “I feel the same. When I saw you arriving at the cafe I thought, who is this beautiful woman ?!”
They then stayed silent in owe, realizing what just happened and then looked at each other. Maria said :
-“The universe answered our prayers !’
- Yes indeed !
And together they bursted into a huge laughter. Elsa felt relieved and for sure Maria too !
The Universe does work in mysterious ways but it does hear us and it does answer our prayers.
